  • F-150 non-Lightning pickup Trailers over 5,000 lbs require Trailer Tow Package (53A, 53B) or Max Trailer Tow Package (53C). The Class IV hitch (53B) alone is limited to the 6,000- or 7,000-lb maximum printed for each engine; see each row's requirements.

Under its 5th-wheel/gooseneck tables the 2023 guide prints "Trailer king pin load weight should be 15% of total loaded trailer weight." That applies whether or not a package is listed on the row.

Trailers over 5,000 lbs require Trailer Tow Package (53A, 53B) or Max Trailer Tow Package (53C). The Class IV hitch (53B) alone is limited to the 6,000- or 7,000-lb maximum printed for each engine; see each row's requirements. 5th-wheel rows still follow Ford's 15% king pin guidance even when no extra row label appears.
