  • F-150 non-Lightning pickup Trailers over 5,000 lbs require Trailer Tow Package (17T, 53A, 53B) or Max Trailer Tow Package (53C). The Class IV hitch (53B) alone is limited to the 6,000- or 7,000-lb maximum printed for each engine; see each row's requirements.

Under its 5th-wheel/gooseneck tables the 2022 guide prints "Trailer king pin load weight should be 15% of total loaded trailer weight." That applies whether or not a package is listed on the row.

The Class IV hitch (53B) alone is limited to the 6,000- or 7,000-lb maximum printed for each engine; see each row's requirements. 5th-wheel rows still follow Ford's 15% king pin guidance even when no extra row label appears.
